With more than 25-years’ experience in various fields of agriculture and zoology both Ex-situ as well as In-situ, I still assist conservation projects and Zoological facilities globally sharing my experience and knowledge through environmental education and field work to achieve a global understanding why we need to conserve our planet. During my career I held positions as TV Presenter, Research Coordinator, Manager, Curator, and conservationist at various facilities gaining experience and more understanding. I assisted with various conservation projects ranging from tortoises, crocodiles, skinks and most resent the Pickergill’s reed frog (Hyperolius pickergilli) one of South Africa’s endemic and endangered amphibians and one of a few species that do have a Biodiversity management Plan gazette (2017).
From an early age the fascinating aspects of nature triggered my curiosity, and ever since I thrive to learn and understand more about our planet with more specific interest in the field of herpetology.
